She had 1,000 followers. One post brought her 2,200 more.

Three prompts we’re running this week. One of them doubled a client’s account off a single post. All three are inside, plus three prompts to film this week.

I’ve picked up 300 new followers this month.

One of my clients picked up 2,000 from a single post. She had 1,000 when she started. It’s one hook, and it keeps working for her.
Here’s what we’re doing.
Every day in October, my Residents post three to six trial reels. I give them two hooks each morning, and they make them their own. Repetition over research. Get it out there and look at it after.
And watching it happen daily has made something obvious that I’ve been saying for years, and nobody believes until they see the numbers.
The hook is doing all of the work.
Your idea is fine. Your face is fine. Your lighting is fine. People decide in the first line. Most first lines are a warm-up. You’re clearing your throat on camera and then wondering why the good part never got watched.
I’m in it too. My view rate right now drops in the first 15 seconds. So I stopped opening with who I am and what I’ve done. That goes at the end of the video now. I start in the middle of the thing.
Here’s what the ones that performed have in common.
They’re specific enough to be uncomfortable. Think verbatim. The exact words you’d say out loud, in the most natural, un-AI way you can manage. One of mine this week was “5 things I’m writing in my journal to kick myself in my own tushy.” I didn’t write that line. I’d say that line.
And it’s never the softened version. The softened version is the one that gets scrolled.
The hook isn’t there to teach. It’s there to make somebody need the next seven seconds. That’s it. That’s the whole game this month.

POLL: When you film, how much time goes into your first line?
- I write it last
- I rewrite it four times and still hate it
- I just ask AI to pick one
- It’s the only part I plan
THIS SUNDAY
Three prompts to film this week, with the exact structure for each. My own scripts, word for word. And the one-variable method that turns one idea into three posts.
Inside Tabernacle : A Creative Solopreneur's Journal
Every Sunday, I open the door to Tabernacle. You get the intersection of graphic design, yoga, and business — the visual identity work, the positioning conversations, the honest launches, and the quiet building that happens at home while raising a daughter solo. This is the work before the world sees it.
