I thought Tabernacle would have made a million dollars by now

Is this a fear, or is this a fact? The question I ask before I let myself panic. Plus the practice I use when the business dips, the parenting dips, or both at once.

My coach told me on Monday to stop leading with fonts and palettes, and to start with the problem I actually solve.
I felt like a failure!
I want to be honest about that, because I think people assume the years take that feeling away. They certainly do NOT. I sat there thinking, twenty-five years in and I should have known this. I’m behind.
Then I asked myself the question I’ve been asking for years. It’s truly, truly the most useful thing I do in my business.
Is this a fear, or is this a fact?
Fact: my coach gave me a note about how I open a video.
Fear: I’m behind and I should have known better.
Only one of those actually happened.
And while I was busy being afraid my content wasn’t working, it WAS working. We’ve been posting every day in October as a challenge, and I was quietly convinced I was wasting my time. Then I looked. I’ve picked up 400 new followers this month. My best single post brought in 200. One of my clients gained over 5k in one month.
The fear was loud. The FACTS were in my analytics.

POLL: When something goes wrong in your business, how long before you decide the whole thing is broken?
- About ninety seconds, honestly
- A day or two
- I spiral and then recover
- I don’t do this, and I’d like a medal :)
THIS SUNDAY
The exact practice I use to separate the two. What to do with the fact. What to do with the fear, which is different. And the thing I do instead of worrying, which has carried me through every dip in seventeen years of working for myself.
Inside Tabernacle : A Creative Solopreneur's Journal
Every Sunday, I open the door to Tabernacle. You get the intersection of graphic design, yoga, and business — the visual identity work, the positioning conversations, the honest launches, and the quiet building that happens at home while raising a daughter solo. This is the work before the world sees it.
